GROUP DESCRIPTION
During this crucial time of reckoning and evolution towards a more equitable and inclusive society, we are passionate about offering this integration of the Enneagram and justice. The Enneagram is a powerful tool to help move through internal barriers to justice work and to develop the resources needed to persist in such important efforts.
As we’ve worked with the Enneagram, we already recognize that we have bias relative to our type and its particular worldview. This offering is a unique engagement at the intersection of Enneagram type, racism, and justice. Renée Rosario and Adam Bailon will facilitate the group to work with key elements of Enneagram type as they interact with and are activated by the experience of living in a white-centered society.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Participants will practice utilizing the compassionate self-understanding and courageous presence available through Enneagram work to deepen their capacity to resist oppression and cultivate justice in their communities.
Each gathering is shaped around the truth that embodied presence is essential to learning ways of being aligned with justice. We emphasize somatic practices and developing awareness of what arises in our whole beings (mind, body, heart) as we encounter the realities of racism in our world, our community and in ourselves. Of course, this work is a practice and we will engage it with a commitment to the compassion, kindness and courage it deserves.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?
The group is best suited for people already using the Enneagram as a resource for their own growth and who are interested to learn and practice resisting white supremacy in their lives. Though our content is focused on the specific experiences relating to being white and white adjacent, individuals across identities are welcome to apply.
